Another friend Lost...

I didn't know what had happened, except that there was something wrong with him. A few short days later, he was gone. When Brandon passed away I was saddened deeply, but we all saw it coming. He'd been sick and fighting for his life. This time, we lost a dear sweet friend and it was such a shock. The expression "it came out of nowhere" really applies. One minute he was there, the next he was gone.

Isaiah was a beautiful young person who touched a lot of lives. He was married to a very lovely young woman and had a five month old baby. Some of my friends have referred to him as their hero. He was a hero. He was a champion. Isaiah didn't have championship rings, gold medals around his neck, nor did he bear any cheap plastic trophies on his shelves. He was a true champion. He was a champion father, husband, son, brother, and friend.

I have so many fond memories of Isaiah that I have been playing in my head since I heard the news. Teaching him to dance at the Stake Sweetheart dance at Comanche was probably one of my most memorable. He was such a beautiful person to be around and it always warmed my heart to see him anywhere I went. He used to wear a sticker on his lapel at church nearly every week "Modest is Hottest." I can't tell you how often I have used that line since seeing that sticker.

Here's to you Isaiah. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and you will be missed and not forgotten.

This was the perfect post to remember Isaiah. What a wonderful and remarkable person he was! I have never met anyone who oozed sunshine like he did. The happiest heart in the world!

Thanks, Karen. Yes, I agree. He was sunshine inside and out.

I remember how is genuine and nice heart was what my sister was receptive too. There a few whom she let speak to her about the Gospel and he was one of them. Also, he helped introduce the Gospel to Freddy.. Someone who we've adopted to be like a little bro in our family. Great post Erika!
